Reliable physiotherapists

Currently, we have six experienced chartered physiotherapists, and seven sports masseurs working variable hours.

We also provide a Podiatry/chiropody service.

Our team can treat a variety of conditions such as sports injuries (muscles, ligaments, joints and haematomas), spinal injuries (neck, back, sciatica, lumbago and trapped nerves), and occupational injuries (repetitive strain injury, golfer’s elbow and tennis elbow).

Our director, Andrew specialises in sports injury rehabilitation. He has been involved with the Welsh Rugby Union for 17 years at all levels. We undertake thorough patient reviews and diligently document your medical history to get a clear understanding of your needs. We assess, treat and provide self-help to any issue that you may be facing.

history

Andrew qualified in 1984 from UHW, Cardiff with a diploma in physiotherapy, before venturing to Merthyr, UHW, Talygarn Rehab Centre, East Glamorgan/ Royal Glamorgan.  Initially started private work from his flat in Fairwater before moving to Whitchurch. Finally moving the clinic to Old Church Road, Whitchurch, a newly built ground floor office, as cliental  numbers increased. The clinic now has 18 staff members and averages about 6 thousand treatments a year.
He dislocated his shoulder while playing for Cardiff HSOB, being unable to play actively, he started treating the players. Malcolm Lewis (WRU) invited him to apply for a trip to New Zealand with the under 19s in 1987. Thus began a 17-year journey with the WRU. He has treated players such as Jonathon Davies, Scott Quinell, Ieuan Evans, Neil Jenkins, and Gwyn Jones. He has travelled to New Zealand, Hong Kong as well as all the 6 nation venues. Andrew was instrumental in helping create the professionalism of physiotherapy in the WRU today.

He was asked to be Madonna’s tour physiotherapist in Cardiff on a recent tour. He has toured with American Football, Glamorgan Cricket Academy, has made numerous television and radio appearances, lectured on variety of subjects, and has recently fulfilled a contract with Parc Prison. His clinic continues to grow, attracting quality staff from the physiotherapy and massage fraternity.
